Warning to Tourists Taking Photographs at JR Asari Station

🚷 CAUTION 🚷

There are many beautiful picturesque scenes in Otaru
and we understand the wish to capture them on film.

However, at the Asari station there has been an increase in
incidents recently where tourists taking pictures on the train tracks or
near the edge of the platforms have come close to being struck by trains.

Not all trains stop at Asari station - some simply pass through
at high speeds and therefore are unable to stop suddenly.

Trains run frequently and coming into contact with them can be fatal.

Please do not go near the train tracks when taking pictures.

Thank you.
