Otaru Aquarium CLOSED February 25～March 15, 2019

The Otaru Aquarium will close 
February 25 (Mon) ～ March 15 (Fri) before reopening 
for their Winter Season starting March 16, 2019 (Sat).

Business Hours: Daily 10:00 am ~ 4:00 pm 

                                   (last entry at 3:30 pm)

Located right by the sea, the Otaru Aquarium is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. Many go specifically for the penguin walk, which is simply adorable, but there's also lots of interesting sea creatures on display.

The penguin walk starts off with almost all the penguins in tow but...

gradually they go their separate ways, as some get distracted by their own feet, 

bored,

tired,

or start playing with trainers when nudged to go back to the group.

Eventually all the penguins rejoin the group

and head back together.

There's also the dolphin show, pelican walk and lots more to see so be sure to go before the season ends!!
