OTARU SNOW STORY

 Otaru Blue Canal

sunset ~ 10:30 pm

For two and a half months, approximately 10,000 brilliant blue LED lights will illuminate the Otaru canal, making the picturesque dreamy winter wonderland even more spectacular.

Wine Glass Tower

Canal Plaza

Otaru citizens come together to create a 3-meter tall tower

Candle Bar

Every Friday & Saturday 6:00 pm ~ 9:00 pm
Canal Plaza

Lights inside the Canal Plaza will be dimmed and instead lit up by glimmering candlelight. Stop by and warm up with drinks featuring locally made spirits and liqueur.

Ukidama (Glass Float) Tree

Canal Plaza

Two hundred ukidamas, or glass floats, are used to create this illuminated tree. Make sure to stop by and take pictures to remember your trip to Otaru.

Blue Tengu Sakura

Mt. Tengu

The Tengu Sakura atop Mt. Tengu will also be illuminated in blue, creating a magical and bewitching view.
