There are autumn leaves in Otaru.

Many students visit for a school trip in Otaru in October.

They mainly take a photo in front of Otaru Canal.

We hope they can make wonderful memories.

In Japan, we say Autumn is the best season for eating, reading, sports and art.

Nakano Botanical Garden

Nakano Botanical Garden is the private botanical garden founded in 1908.

The site area is about 50,000 square meters.

There are about 20 playsets and it is recommended for families with children.

Shukutsu Panorama Observatory

Shukutsu Panorama Observatory is an observatory located in Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru 

Kaigan Quasi-National Park.

It was named because it offers a 360-degree view of the landscape.

It is also famous as a place where the sunrise and sunset are very beautiful.

You can see The Sea of Japan, the dynamic coastline, Hiyoriyama Lighthouse, Otaru

 Nishin Goten(Herring Mansion) and sometimes passing fishing boats and

 ferries from there.

Hiyoriyama Lighthouse

The Hiyoriyama Lighthouse was lit for the first time in 1883. It is the second historic

 lighthouse in Hokkaido after Cape Nosappu Lighthouse.
